A few club members are organising a little fundraiser for a very worthy cause and any support would be really appreciated.

Lucy Thompson from Mullingar is 4 years old and has a rare genetic disorder, Zellweger Syndrome. She needs her home adapted to meet her medical needs.

The plan is to get as many people as possible up to Ballynacargy GAA pitch on St. Stephen’s morning from 8am-11am to walk or run a few laps of the walking track. It’d be brilliant if our community could get behind this brave little girl who needs all the support she can get.

Frances Lyons, Linda Heduvan, Michelle Connolly and Lorraine Maher will be there to dish out well deserved tea, mulled wine, mince pies, home baking and sweets.

We would love this to be a family event for both young and old members of our community. It’ll be a great chance for us all to meet up, enjoy some exercise and festive cheer while supporting a very worthy cause.

Donation boxes will be in the pitch and all money raised will go to Lucy's parents Carla and Kris.
