Hard luck to our U15s who lost the Shield final to St. Loman’s in heartbreaking circumstances in Bunbrosna this evening. With time almost up and the game tied on the scoreboard, St. Loman’s scored a goal with almost the last kick of the game to clinch the title. This was after a stirring comeback from our lads who were well behind at half time and at that stage it looked like we were facing a comprehensive defeat.
However, the lads completely changed the game in the second half, showing huge levels of character and commitment to get back to a draw only for St. Loman’s to win out with that last second goal. Well done to all the lads and coaches on a very brave performance.
This is only the start of the season, we’d encourage all the players to keep attending training, work hard on their skills and with the character shown tonight an Inny Shamrocks underage title won’t be far away.
